Daniel is a Cologne-based photographer who documents the existence of a wide variety of personalities. At the end of 2017, he visited me in my studio in Cologne and asked me 25 questions that got under my skin. The blog post is part of his photo series „Cologne 86 Veedel“, which is now supplemented by a lively interview series. We talked about art, Cologne and how it all began.
Daniel comes from a Russian family. His father Vadim Zakharov, a well-known representative of the Moscow Conceptualism, exhibited at the 55th Venice Biennale in the Russian Pavilion and runs the exhibition format „Freehome“ in cooperation with his wife in Berlin. Like his father, Daniel has the rare talent of leading people to themselves to document this in a wonderful way.
